A V.I. Peel is a skin treatment used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, chest, hands or other areas. As a medical-grade chemical peel, the VI Peel is an effective treatment to improve several skin conditions and issues including acne, uneven skin texture, uneven tone, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, sagging skin, age and sun spots, enlarged pores and hyperpigmentation. The VI Peel also provides a more youthful look by brightening the overall appearance of the skin and improving collagen production. The V.I. Peel, like some other chemical peels, can also assist in removing precancerous cells. Using a chemical solution, V.I. Peels remove the upper layers of skin to allow the growth of fresh new skin that is smoother and more youthful in appearance, while also increasing collagen production. The V.I. Peel contains a synergistic blend of powerful ingredients suitable for all skin types. This chemical exfoliation treatment delivers dramatic results with virtually no discomfort, no skin preparation and little social downtime. Patients who choose this treatment notice a softening of lines and wrinkles, clearing of acne, and a reduction or elimination of acne scars. V.I. Peel will also stimulate the production of collagen for firmer and more youthful skin.
Some moderate flaking skin is expected for up to 7 days.

The peel is applied by a medical aesthetician to the face and neck. During the application of the peel, you may feel a tingle or slight stinging sensation that last for about five seconds. The peel numbs the skin on the first pass and then the rest of the peel is applied until the entire bottle is used and your skin is monitored as you are given take home instructions.
The skin will appear slightly tan due to you going home with the VI Peel on your face; follow all directions given by your aesthetician. On the first and second days your skin may feel slightly tight and any pigmented areas might appear slightly darker. The third day, you should begin to peel; first signs of peeling usually begin around the mouth. By the sixth or seventh day, the peeling should be complete and the results are dramatic. Remember never to peel the skin yourself and always allow the skin to fall naturally when washing your face to prevent scarring.
