SculpSure treatments are performed commonly on areas such as the lower tummy, abdomen, and flanks.Whenever a patient has unwanted fat or areas of convex distention, SculpSure can be used. In Canada, SculpSure is presently indicated only for flanks and abdomen, but full body approval (i.e. hips, inner thighs, outer thighs, or even the arms) is pending and expected very soon. Up to 4 laser applicators can be used at one time to treat an area, and the full treatment of that area will take no more than approximately 30 minutes. This allows multiple zones to be treated within just 1 hour.
The SculpSure applicators release low-level laser energy into the target area, creating a thermal heating treatment directed at the fat and subcutaneous tissue. The laser is designed to vary the pulse durations of laser energy, and the fat cells are essentially melted and destroyed by the elevated temperatures. SculpSure is also designed with a unique skin-cooling system that helps maintain the skin at a comfortable temperature for the patient while the fat cells are being addressed.
Patients have reported that the entire SculpSure treatment is comfortable and very tolerable with only minor discomfort that lasts but a few seconds because of the system’s unique intervals of heating and cooling.
SculpSure treatments are recommended in sets of 1 to 3 sessions. *Each fat-reduction session should be spaced approximately 6 weeks apart.* The visible results of the non-surgical liposuction treatment are noticeable approximately a few weeks to a few months post-treatment. *One can expect fat reductions (assuming that the patient’s weight remains the same as it was at the time of treatment).* The SculpSure body-contouring treatment actually leads to fat cell death, but without the inflammation. Studies have shown that there is a 24% decrease in unwanted fat for each treated zone, and more than 90% of treated patients report that they are satisfied with the achieved results!
