Yes! Try your best to arrive without any eye makeup, do not curl your lashes or wear mascara the day of your appointment. This will minimize the clean up time and allow more time for applying the extensions.
During the first 24 hours, it’s recommended to avoid getting your lashes wet. This will prolong the longevity of your lashes.
No curling your lashes or applying mascara. You wouldn’t need to anyways! We do carry a mascara made especially for eyelash extensions. Please ask your technician for details if interested.
Try not to excessively rub your eyes, it will weaken the bonding agent which adheres the lashes.
Try not to sleep with your face down into the pillow, it will effect the staying power of your lashes.
When showering face away from the shower head, the lashes are waterproof but not shower head pressure proof! Try not to roughly rub your eyes when removing makeup.
Use an oil free makeup remover along with a cotton swab to gently work around the eyes to remove stubborn eye makeup.
It’s imperative to remove all eye make up at the end of the night to avoid any eye irritations. Yikes, who wants those!
On the average person, Full and Demi sets :The Eyelash Extensions will ‘look good’ for approximately 3 weeks before requiring a touch up. If you do not touch up at this time, they will continue to shed and completely fall off by 4 – 6 weeks. Some experience a much better retention rate while others vary. Factors include the strength and texture of your natural lash, your lifestyle, and the way you care for the Eyelash Extensions.

When applied properly, eyelash extensions will last the length of your eyelashes natural growth cycle. Everyone’s experience will differ based on day to day activities but overall touch ups should only be required every 2 to 3 weeks. A special waterproof bonding agent is used to protect and extend the life of the lashes.
Your natural eyelashes fall off every 60 – 120 days due to the natural growth cycle and are naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Other factors such as exposure to steam or touching your eyes may cause the extensions to fall sooner. A touch up is needed to fill in any lashes that have fallen out and to fill in on the new growth. Touch ups will vary from individual to individual and depend on your natural eyelash cycle as well as how you take care of your extended lashes. Most touch ups are between 2 – 4 weeks. When you come in for regular touch ups, you should normally have at least 50% of your lash extensions still attached. If you wait too long many of your extensions may fall off and you will need to have the full set re-applied. Touch ups usually last approximately 45 minutes.
Yes – even though mascara is not really required since the extensions actually give the illusion of wearing mascara. It must however only be water based mascara. DO NOT — USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara or any type of oil based mascara can dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your eyelash extensions causing them to fall sooner. Care also needs to be taken in washing off the mascara. Only use a water based eye makeup remover.
Yes. The bonding agent we use is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise etc. Special care is required but overall maintenance is low. However, do not wash your eye area for the first 24 hours after each application.
We do not recommend using mechanical eyelash curlers on your eyelash extensions as these curlers will damage the extensions and possibly break your own natural lashes. The extensions do have a natural curl but if more of a curl is required we recommend using a heated eyelash curler.
Currently the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions since the eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelashes and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free and relaxing that most clients fall asleep during the procedure. However, improper application by an unqualified eyelash technician can cause damage to your natural lashes. We recommend only using a Certified Eyelash Extension Specialist.
The application process for lash extensions normally takes anywhere from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours. If you go to a newly certified professional it may take longer. You will lay comfortably on a massage or facial table with your eyes closed. The Eyelash professional will then apply an under eye gel pad to cover your lower lashes and upper lids. Then the extensions will be applied to each individual eyelash on a lash by lash basis.
Eyelash extensions are available in a number of lengths and thickness. We consult with you first to see what type of style you are interested in. We also determine what your lashes can hold in regards to size. Each person’s lashes will vary in strength and length. We take this into consideration when creating a look for you. The overall look of the lashes is very natural.
For the natural look, between 40-100 lashes applied to each eye. For a more glamorous or extreme set of lashes, as many as 100 plus extensions may be applied per eye. Please keep in mind for a glamorous or extreme set of lashes, you must have enough healthy & natural lashes to support this look.
